I tried 1&1, midphase, 3iX, but I now stick with hostmonster, they have excellent support and my site is always up and running even though it uses lots of bandwidth. I can honestly tell you that hostmonster is the best around.

HostMonster is a really good host, I use them to host all of my websites.. There are many reviews out on the web about this host; however, the one below also includes a special promo link to save on hosting at HostMonster.. I suggest reviewing the host and decide rather you think it is for you or not.

I left hostmonster because I needed windows technology, but when I was there, it was great! If you do not need windows technology, hostmonster truly is the best, especially when it comes to customer service, and if you think they are horrible, then probably you haven’t seen the worst from other hosts.

I have 2 packages at hostmonster with many sites on each. I like them as shared hosting company. I always get support or at list some good responses from live support (maybe i was lucky). I really think that, because of the “shared” part of the deal, it’s only luck if you’ll be ok or not. my first package has some problems with the MySql (getting down- non responsive) but i think it’s better now. Maybe someone else on the same server was pushing the sql server too much. My second package is ok. I didn’t have any problems so far. I was at siteground.com and the only reason i left, 2 and 1/2 years ago was the fact that hostmonster had all the same package inlcuding SSH witch is very handy and not everyone gives it away
